What is pinball? It’s an arcade game that is all about manipulating a couple of metal balls in a glass case. What you have to do is score as many points as you can. And then the danger begins, because you’re hooked. And, in no time at all, you start getting withdrawal symptoms if you don’t get your daily dose of “pinball high.”

The game is played on a “field” encased in glass. The surface is tilted at an angle of three to seven degrees. A plunger, which is actually a spring-loaded rod, puts the ball into play and propels it upward onto the field. Thanks to the tilt, the ball keeps coming back towards the player, and the objective of

the game is to use the flippers (levers that are mechanically or electro-mechanically controlled) to push the ball back onto the field. On its journey up, the ball could encounter different objects that change its course and win the player points. Sometimes, players physically nudge the cabinet in order to manipulate the ball. This is known as tilting and can be penalized when it is excessive. A violent form of this is called slam tilting.

Leading German thinker and philosopher of the last century Nietchze is the source to my knowledge of this wise observation that “marriage is a long conversation”. While Nietchze generally has a bad reputation for his “superman theories” and his “God is dead” maxim - this seems his BEST philosophic observation about that grand ole human institution - MARRIAGE.

Over the past seven years at our Bi Men Network - so many of our men have repeatedly conceded that they STILL HAVE SOME GREAT CONVERSATIONS with their wives. When push comes to shove many men acknowledge that their wives are in fact their best friends. While women seem to make “best friends” far more easily than most adult men

- finding a “best friend” is all too often a major problem for many grown men.

High Def vs. High Creativity……

There is much talk these days of the high tech hoopla involving the next generation consoles. Microsoft and Sony have both announced that their next gen systems will include High Definition as one of the key new features, while Nintendo has stated that it will pass up on the High Def for now and go with a more creative system instead. Both Microsoft and Sony have showed and their consoles and both look really good so far, thus most hardcore gamers have written Nintendo off as being a contender for the next gen crown. Is this possibly an oversight?
